As a young boy of Greek heritage, often my job at family events was manually cranking the rotisserie’s spit over an open fire. A bit older, I was fortunate enough to travel the globe for work and pleasure. I visited every continent except Antarctica by age 29, and was always sampling flavors and learning new cooking methods—it is safe to say I ate my way around the world! Both experiences instilled in me the belief that food tastes better when it is made simply, is full of flavor, and shared with family and friends.
Years later this still holds true.
Nothing makes me happier than cooking delicious meals with my two young boys. When I won a local BBQ charity competition, demand for my BBQ sauce grew thanks to its high-quality ingredients and unique flavor. We described it as “tangy and sweet with a bit of heat.” There were my boys helping me fill orders, mixing and measuring. Together we tried and tested the perfect bottle to create a fine application with minimal waste, the precision squeeze. Soon we started tasting the sauce on different things, from scrambled eggs to cheese quesadillas. We discovered it didn’t just work great for BBQ, slathered on smoked ribs, brisket, pork or chicken, but for enhancing the flavor of literally everything. Hence, Saucy Rascals Everyday BBQ Sauce was born.
